Chess's Dashboard gadgets offer fast, configurable reporting
Chess's Dashboard gadgets offer fast, configurable reporting

Chess Logistics Technology has added an appealing new visual reporting tool to its Empirica WMS warehouse management system, taking advantage of the modern 'dashboard' concept to present complex information in easily-understood form.

As with the best dashboard systems, Chess's implementation is highly configurable. Users can set up it to present wide range of real-time performance indicators and metrics in a single screen on any web browser.

The real-time displays cover a range of warehouse activities such as receipt, order and despatch analysis, operative performance, tasks in progress and completed, stock age analysis, pick rates, problem tasks and empty space availability.

There are also real-time metrics on critical IT systems data such as current user logons, system interface status and database space availability.

The module supports all major 'gadget' types including ticker, bar and pie charts, speedometers, fuel gauges, grids and indicator bars.

Chess already offers various add-ons to its Empirica package, including web-based stock management and other features such as labour targeting and forecasting and KPI supplier/carrier analysis.
