Tripp, a leading UK-based luggage retailer, has chosen Seafield Logistics for a five-year warehousing contract that will include internet fulfilment.

Seafield will run the operation from a 41,000 sq ft warehouse at Claylands Avenue in Worksop, a town where the contractor has a major presence. Here it will receive, store, pick and pack luggage for Tripp.

The contract will require additional labour resource. Seafield says some of Tripp's existing staff will probably transfer to the new site, but it is likely that new roles will also be created.

Tripp is the exclusive luggage retailer in Debenhams, and sells from 114 locations in the UK and Ireland. Under the contract, logistics support will be provided not only for orders placed through Tripp's own retail web site, www.tripp.co.uk, but also for luggage orders received through the Debenhams web site, www.debenhams.com

 

Tripp awarded the contract to Seafield following an in-depth competitive tendering process.
