Autumn 2009
HDN expands its connections
Home Delivery Network has extended its coverage in the Irish Republic, striking a partnership deal with Fastway Couriers; and separately, it has acquired a Scottish carrier, G&M Distribution. HDN has integrated Fastway's real-time tracking capability with its own systems, allowing it to offer end-to-end consignment visibility on Irish traffic. The key client underpinning the initial launch is HDN sister-company Shop Direct Group, which transferred all its Irish business from An Post at the beginning of September. • HDN has dropped the *L' from the abbreviated version of its name. It stood for 'limited', but there was a feeling that it was slightly illogical.
