Vocollect consolidates with VoiceWorld
![]() Vocollect, the voice recognition specialist, has pulled together a range of its products to create what it is calling VoiceWorld Suite. It describes this as a fully configurable suite of software products and tools that allow easier development of voice applications suitable for multiple market segments. The aim, says the company, is to create a single source for voice implementation, helping reseller partners and customers to extend the use of voice in warehouses and extended supply chains across the world. There are four main components to the suite. Enterprise Voice Connectors provide direct and middleware-based links to applications. Vocollect VoiceConsole centralises management activities for voice-enabled workforces and their devices. Vocollect VoiceClient provides noise-tolerant voice recognition and speech output for end-user mobile devices. Development Tools provide a consistent environment for the development of voice applications. Vocollect has deployed its offerings to 5,000 customer sites with more than 250,000 end users in over two decades of operation. Its systems are supported by its own Vocollect Talkman Series hardware (T5, T5m and T2x), as well by as devices from other manufacturers including the Psion Teklogix Workabout Pro Speech, Intermec CK3, LXE MX7 and HX2, and the Motorola MC9090 and WT4000 series.
