Blogging capability added to Priam suite

A blogging capability has been added to the appease e-commerce software suite from Priam Software. It enables retailers to set up database-driven blogging web sites linked to their transactional sites.

Whilst many blogging systems are already available on the market – some of them free – integration with existing web sites is not always easy to achieve, and it can be tricky to incorporate the look and feel of the 'mother' site at anything beyond a superficial level.

Priam says appease Blog is easily integrated with appease itself, although its content is managed separately from appease, using a MySQL database. It is designed to allow large amounts of information to be stored, sorted and displayed in a variety of ways.

Priam argues that it allows retailers to create a community round their product range, offering consumer reviews and independent comment.
