End-to-end fulfilment from Sterling
Sterling Commerce has launched a product described as the industry's most complete solution for helping companies overcome today's complex selling and fulfilment challenges. It is called the Selling and Fulfillment Suite (the two letter Ls in 'fulfillment' reflect its US origin). According to the company, the suite removes the barriers to successful customer and supplier interactions by providing a single end-to-end view of many sales and fulfilment processes, including marketing, lead management, selling, orders, inventory, delivery and supply – plus returns, repairs and settlement. The sweep of the system ranges from order capture and management to warehouse operations, transport and delivery, but it is modular, so users need only take the components they need. The suite in fact combines two products – Sterling Multi-Channel Selling and Sterling Multi-Channel Fulfillment. It is built on a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform and uses flexible business process modelling.
