Web-based transport management solution
A web-based collaborative transport management software suite has been launched by a new company, Deltion, which says it aims to give users and their customers a real-time view of transactions at all times. Among its capabilities, the system is said to enable transport companies and users to book orders, track and trace goods, plan loads, enter proof of delivery details online, and manage a variety of back office tasks. The system is multi-site and multi-currency, and the company says it is easily integrated with third-party solutions handling functions such as warehouse management and enterprise-wide management. The suite uses an Oracle database and application server hosted on IBM servers running Linux. There are actually two core databases - one holding application information, the other business information. The configuration is said to have been independently load-tested and performance-tested for 1,500 concurrent users. *Deltion delivers - feature on page xx
