Coty adds flexibility
Coty UK, part of the cosmetics and beauty products giant, has made systems investments to improve efficiency both in the warehouse and among its sales staff. On the warehouse front, the company is installing the Dispatcher-WMS warehouse management system from LIS in its central distribution centre at Ashford, Kent. It replaces a legacy system, running on Coty's existing Windows NT platform, and will integrate with a Macpac enterprise resource planning system. The deal covers new software, radio frequency equipment, label printers, installation and project management. Meanwhile Coty has selected the Web:Linc system from deliver-e as the basis for a new sales force automation application. It is intended to allow sales reps to enter sales orders on laptop computers in-store, reducing data entry errors and replenishment times. Web:Linc will replace a paper-based system. The system is costing Coty over £100,000, including software, services and training.
