Automatic voice alerts

Personalised voice or text messages can be sent to customers en masse with a new products called VoiceSage Alert'r.

The company behind it, communications specialist VoiceSage, says the system can help reduce the work of contact centre agents, who often have to take routine calls from customers to complete simple activities such as checking balances.

It can also be used to combat fraud, contacting customers automatically to verify large or unusual purchases made on credit cards. This allows retailers to identify and block fraudulent transactions, saving costs.

Consumers for their part can use Alert'r to register their interest in a product with a supplier. They then receive automatic notification when the product becomes available. VoiceSage says this facially is particularly useful for customers looking for time-sensitive products which require a quick response.
