HighJump suite supports logistics 'in-sourcing' for decorations company
Premier Decorations, a leading UK importer of Christmas decorations and products for summer outdoor living and Halloween, has selected the HighJump Warehouse Advantage software suite from 3M Supply Chain Solutions to manage its distribution warehouse in Wrexham. Premier Decorations selling directly to retailers through a variety of channels, including high street shops, DIY stores, garden centres, department stores and wholesalers, as well as via mail order companies and specialist outlets. Logistics operations manager Ron Athwal says the company 'wanted a system that would enable us to insource our distribution operations, as well as meet and build upon the performance parameters expected in our state-of-the-art warehouse and logistics facility.' Premier already uses an advanced voice-directed operation for picking and replenishment, and the HighJump system has been integrated with this. Interestingly, we are also told that in future the company plans to improve and integrate the voice system into what are termed 'new and uncommon' voice-directed applications.
