TNT claims industry first with day-definite service

TNT has added two new services to its delivery portfolio, one of which is a day-definite service for non-urgent deliveries. This service, its 12:00 Economy Express, is not to be confused with the existing 12:00 Express, which provides next business-day deliveries. We could not find exact prices quoted, but the company calls it an 'economical alternative' to normal express deliveries.

TNT has also added a 10:00 Express service, which slots between its existing 9am and 12 noon express offerings.

The company says the 12:00 Economy Express is an industry first, adding that it conducted extensive research involving 7,500 users in key markets around the world. It says this showed that apart from speed, weight and coverage capabilities, customers expect convenience, reliability and control from their provider of express services.
