Text your requirements to PC World
Consumers can use text messaging to reserve products at PC World stores for later collection under a free Text & Collect initiative launched by parent company DSG international. Consumers text the word 'COLLECT' to the company, plus a postcode and a product number, and are informed about availability in up to three of the closest stores. They can then follow up by texting the word 'RESERVE', to which a reservation number is sent in response. The company has chosen SmartAgent eSMS technology from smart response specialist numero to implement the system, which was set up over a four-week period in association with Advocus, a multi-channel retail consultancy.
