Tesco's non-food catalogue marks extension of new service
Tesco's non-food catalogue marks extension of new service Tesco's thousand-page non-food catalogue, listing an estimated 7,000 products, is now in circulation, throwing down the predicted challenge to established catalogue retailers such as Argos. The company continues to offer next-day home delivery on many of the products, augmented by two-hour time slots on many of them (this costs an extra £2), as well as allowing consumers to collect after 4pm at selected stores. On launching the catalogue it announced plans to extend this facility to 200 more stores. Home delivery is being handled by a combination of Tesco's own vehicles and the resources of two contractors - TNT Home and Home Delivery Network.
