RedPrairie gets green light on J2EE framework
RedPrairie Corporation's retail and supply solutions have been validated on IBM's Store Integration Framework, which means they officially integrate with the IT giant's web-oriented middleware platform. This is based on IBM's flexible, scalable Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition, better known as J2EE. The framework is part of an initiative called Ready for IBM Retail Store Innovations, which brings together platform-independent software vendors to deliver proven solutions for the retail industry. Validation shows that RedPrairie's offerings meet the rigorous demands IBM sets for next-generation, open-standards-based store environments. RedPrairie's suite of retail applications aims to streamline, synchronise and optimise retail operations from the store shelf back through the network of suppliers.
