Manhattan Associates and IBM strenghthen historic ties
Manhattan Associates and IBM say they are to work more closely together to promote and develop products for the supply chain. Under a new agreement, Manhattan will further enhance and develop its global supply chain solutions on the basis of IBM hardware, software and services. Manhattan will also deliver its solutions on IBM's WebSphere and Information Management technologies, including WebSphere Application Server, Message Broker, and Transformation Extender. These resources will form part of what is termed a 'preferred reference architecture' for Manhattan's Integrated Planning Solutions and Integrated Logistics Solutions suites. Manhattan Associates and IBM have worked together for 15 years, and say they share nearly 1,000 customers around the world. By expanding their strategic alliance, they aim to continue building up their business in core vertical markets such as retail, consumer goods, manufacturing and transport.
