Kleneeze reappoints Amtrak for deliveries
Following its acquisition from European Home Retail last autumn by Findel, Kleeneze has appointed Amtrak to handle its home delivery work in a new three-year contract. Prior to its own restructuring in January Amtrak, had been working for several divisions of the old European Home Retail business, including Kleeneze and the ill-fated Farepak business. Kleeneze managing director David Wilson says Amtrak 'has proven to be the ideal delivery partner for Kleeneze, providing a highly flexible and reliable service to our network.' Under the contract, Amtrak is providing a day-definite delivery service to a sales network that employs some 12,000 home-based distributors, who in turn deliver products to householders. The operation includes collection from a Kleeneze distribution centre near Bristol, and involves around 5,500 parcel deliveries a night.
