RedPack launches parts operation, acquires Collectpoint assets

As Fulfilment & e.logistics closed for press a new option for express parts delivery had just appeared on the UK scene in the form of RedPack Network, one of the market leaders in North America.

It is providing what it describes as 'a dense network of secure 24-hour locations, supporting in-night delivery with a robust easy-to-use technology platform'.

As part of its UK launch strategy the company has acquired the assets of Collectpoint, the last-mile delivery specialist that allowed consignments to be diverted to a network of pickup points in locations such as convenience stores and garage forecourts.

Collectpoint started in the consumer market, but latterly derived most of its revenue from the parts market. Its consumer operations were suspended two years ago. It was not clear at press time exactly what assets RedPack had acquired, or whether the consumer service would ever be revived, but we hope to bring you more information in a later issue.
