Freight Traders broadens online appeal

Freight Traders, the online tendering service for the freight market, is aiming to broaden the appeal of its operation by letting users participate on a more flexible basis than in the past.

Until now, users have been expected to participate in a full tendering process, but now they can cherry-pick individual components of the service. As examples, the company cites carrier pre-qualification, offline bid collection and detailed offer analysis. Pricing has been restructured to reflect this more limited use of the service.

Existing Freight Traders clients include BP, Corus Group, Orangina Schweppes, Colgate-Palmolive, Masterfoods, Unilever and Kimberly-Clark.
