International shoe retailer opts for Manhattan
Hoogenbosch Retail Group, which controls retail brands such as Dolcis, Manfield, Invito and Pro Sport, has implemented a Manhattan Associates warehouse management system in its 15,000 sq m distribution centre at 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. The WMS is said to have given Hoogenbosch a real-time view of inventory and operations at the DC, providing additional flexibility in the way it runs its facility, as well as improving stock accuracy and availability and reducing the overall supplier-to-store cycle time. The project included integrating the WMS with the facility's existing order picking and sortation system from Vanderlande Industries. This uses Vanderlande's warehouse control system to control over 1,700 metres of powered conveyor. The centre supports 240 stores in Holland and Germany. Hoogenbosch is a subsidiary of the Dutch-based Macintosh Retail Group.
