Business Post adds Collectpoint capability
Business Post has begun offering the Collectpoint drop-off service as an additional facility for its customers. Kate Stansby, the company's product development manager, says the development is partly a response to customer demand, but she also describes it as "an exciting addition to the Business Post service option portfolio". Unlike some carriers, who have linked drop-off services with either the business-to-business or the business-to-consumer sectors, Business Post is targeting both markets. For consumer deliveries it is emphasising the convenience factor, whereas for businesses it is promoting the savings - particularly on unattended deliveries to field staff. Initially the company is using 1,500 Collectpoint sites, which it has included in its Consignor 2000 customer ordering system. It says it will add further sites as the service beds in.
