Scotts of Stow equips new warehouses
Mail order specialist Scotts of Stow has brought into use two new bulk warehouses, in which a full package of storage equipment has been supplied under a turnkey arrangement by Planned Storage Systems. Stronglock adjustable pallet racking features in the 1,600 pallet position warehouses, which have a top beam height of over 8.5 metres. Additionally, PSS has supplied 30 Stronglock benches, which have integral bench-top shelving units made from Strongspan long-span shelving. These are used to hold packaging accessories.
PSS has also supplied 11 flexible conveyor units for moving goods from packing stations into the despatch area, and now is has added 540 sq m of picking shelves. Scotts of Stow offers over 1,300 product lines, focusing particularly on home and kitchen goods.
