'Construct your own shed' Web site

How do you put together a brief for developing a new warehouse, or plan the fitting out? An imaginative new Web site called www.constructashed.com aims to walk users through the whole process of designing, building and equipping a modern warehouse.

It has been created by a group of companies involved in warehouse design and equipment, among whom a prominent member is SBH (formerly Sworder Belcher Holt), a specialist in distribution property. SBH has already shown itself to be proactive in the use of the Web, being one of the companies supporting PropertyMall, an extensive Web portal site and host to many property agency sites.

The other companies backing the www.constructashed project are Alpine (fire protection), Colt International (smoke control), Crawford-Hafa ( loading bay equipment), Hathaway (roofing and cladding), PSS (storage systems), PWP (engineering services), Roger Bullivant (pre-cast components), Severfield Reeve (Steelwork) and Total Logistics, a consultancy.

On brief acquaintance, the www.constructashed site seems professional and helpful, although rather slow to access on a dial-up modem (avoid the optional introduction, which is pretty but can take an age to download).
