Easier inter-company trading on courier Web site
Inter-company trading has been made easier for operators using the Courier Exchange Web site with the introduction of a new facility called Control Desk. This allows a users to subcontract consignments to fellow-companies through the site, then agree the terms and monitor the progress of the movement. The system will also generate electronic confirmation of order and a range of management reports. Users can still make direct contact with each other to iron out the exact terms. According to Lyall Cresswell, founder and managing director of the service, users had indicated a demand for a more structured approach to inter-company trading.
