Online property developments
WarehouseXchange, the online industrial property listing service, has formed a relationship with property consultancy NAI Gooch Webster, whose branding is now included on the site's home page. While the two organisations remain independent of one another, they describe the relationship as mutually beneficial, enabling them to offer a "complementary" brokerage service in which Gooch Webster handles enquiries for long-term occupancy that are not covered by the core site. Both are said to have invested in their partnership. "Between us we can offer a full range of property consultancy and provision services," WarehouseXchange co-founder Roy Wilson told us. Lately the site has been recording around 1,200 "hits" a month, he says.
Meanwhile, rival service Spacebuster, which allows full online transactions, says it is close to announcing details of the first deals clinched through its site. It already claims to be listing 11 million sq ft on offer in over 90 locations throughout the UK. Spacebuster is an offshoot of property consultancy Fuller Peiser. These online services are seen as particularly appealing for businesses wanting to rent out or occupy spare capacity on a short-term basis.
