M-box and Addison Lee plan two-hour deliveries
Two-hour deliveries within the M25 area are planned by a new partnership involving m-box, the emerging last-mile specialist, and Addison Lee, a London-based courier business. The service will be provided through a new operation, Addison Lee Fulfilment, which the courier has set up to specialise in fulfilment for dotcoms. The two companies also plan to develop a new warehouse facility in London together. This will be linked into m-box's "intelligent hub", which was designed in conjunction with BT Syntegra, and will also alert the couriers when collections and deliveries are required. Addison Lee has been in business 25 years. It claims to run London's largest courier fleet (550 motorcycles, cars and vans), and handles 45,000 transactions a week.
