Integrated logistics from interBiz
What is billed as the first integrated e-business solution has been announced by interBiz, the e-business applications division of Computer Associates. It is aimed at the wholesale, distribution and third-party logistics markets, whether they are operating in traditional or modern e-business environments. Features of the new product include order fulfilment, advanced warehouse management, transport, financial management and supply-chain management. The new solution is a logical progression from previous developments by the company, which launched its Jasmine suite for B2B and B2C Web sales and procurement this autumn. Jasmine forms a component of the new offering, which also draws on other group technologies that have been grouped together under the BizWorks business intelligence branding. These include CA's Unicenter integration system and "Neugent" neural agents. The new suite offers a range of other features such as work flow control, Web services and predictive management. Further features are available optionally, including yard, order pool, customer relationship and financial management.
