E-stop plans to offer collection service
E-stop, the organisation planning a network of purpose-built collection points for home deliveries, says it now also plans to offer a collection service for e-tailers and retailers, saving them the need to organise transport. All they have to do is pick and pack. The company says it is will soon open its first units at "strategic locations" (it is not yet revealing where). It is using modular construction techniques, and says build time has been kept down to a remarkable eight weeks. Shepherd Construction has been appointed to the project, and Dexion will supply a fully automated, horizontal racking system, which will include vertical frozen and chilled storage carousels. Property director Richard McGawley says no other drop-off solution offers such extensive capacity for holding chilled foods.
